Fit and sizing

Size guide

What each KIRUNDO letter size means in US numbers, and how to choose when you sit between two.

Start with the US number you already wear

Look at the label of a dress or top that fits you well. If it says US 8, you are an M in KIRUNDO. If it says 12, you are an L. The chart below shows how the letters line up, counted from the size notes on our product pages.

When you are between two sizes

The shape of the piece decides. Blazers, suit sets and fitted ribbed tops depend on the shoulders and the chest, and they have little room to give, so take the larger size.

Smocked dresses, elastic and drawstring waists, and oversized sweaters are built to stretch or to sit loose. Take your usual size, or the smaller one if you want them closer.

Matching sets and suit sets

A set comes in one size for the top and the bottom. Choose by the part of you that is harder to fit. If your hips are a size larger than your chest, choose by the hips and let the top sit loose.

Length and height

Maxi dresses and wide leg pants are cut long. If you are under five foot four, plan a sandal or a shoe with some height, or look at the midi dresses. If you are tall, the length usually works in flats, but a midi will sit higher than it does in the photos.
